Aaron Tveit, currently entertaining fans in the USA Network series, "Graceland," is proving himself a successful crossover performer whether on the small screen or the Broadway stage. Tveit came into prominence on the Great White Way with his role as Gabe in the award-winning, Tom Kitt / Brian Yorkey musical, "Next to Normal." Since then, he has acquired legions of fans with each successive role, including last year’s big screen role as Enjolras in Tom Hooper’s epic "Les Miserables."

While on break from "Graceland," Tveit presented a live solo show at 54Below this summer, which Broadway Records has just released. It further reinforces for his listeners the voice and looks that have drawn them to the theaters (both movie and Broadway) to see and hear him perform.

"The Radio in My Head" is an innocuous stroll through Tveit’s favorite songs, and ranges from the tried and true Broadway classics that every tenor has in his repertoire ("Something’s Coming", "If I Loved You") to several writers who have influenced the current generation of musical theater lovers (Jonathan Larson, Kate Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk) to tracks from the shows in which he has starred (including "I’m Alive," from the aforementioned "Next to Normal" and "Goodbye" from the musical version of "Catch Me If You Can"). The highlight of the album is (surprisingly!) Tveit’s cover of Taylor Swift’s "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," in which the audience provides an ample singing competitor for the Middletown, New York, native.

The setlist is entertaining, as Tveit comes across as a genuinely nice guy on stage, and the recording will provide the appropriate fodder for those who want to hear the artist in a live setting, even though he does have many YouTube clips that are equally accessible.
