Jason St. Amand READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Angela Bassett is set to return to "American Horror Story" and will be "making lots of trouble" on the FX anthology series subtitled "Hotel."

The Hollywood Reporter points out that showrunner Ryan Murphy took to Twitter Thursday and announced Bassett's return.

This will be the third time Bassett appears on "AHS." She made her debut on Season Three, "American Horror Story: Coven" and also starred in "American Horror Story: Freak Show."

Bassett joins newcomers Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson. "AHS" vets returning to "Hotel" include Sarah Paulson, Even Peters, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny and Wes Bentley. This will be the first season without "AHS" leading lady, Jessica Lange.

As the Hollywood Reporter notes, Bassett's husband, Courtney B. Vance, will star in another FX anthology series headed by Murphy: "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson." Vance will play Johnnie Cochran.
