YouTube Star & Boyfriend's Army Prom Pics Go Viral

YouTube star and actor Max Emerson and his boyfriend Andres Camilo posted photos this week after attending army prom at West Point Military Academy. The adorable pics, and their story, are going viral this week.
The images show the couple getting dressed and looking dapper before the event and the supportive response from the Internet shows "a positive sign of progress in the military when it comes to its acceptance of members of the LGBT community," Elite Daily's queer culture writer Sean Abrams wrote this week.
Both Emerson and Camilo posted snaps to their Instagram accounts and several commenters responded with uplifting remarks, calling the men "inspiring." The photos received over 30,000 likes each.
A number of publications picked up the couple's story, including the U.K. newspaper The Mirror.
Emerson first introduced Camilo as his boyfriend to his more than 115,000 YouTube subscribers in July 2016. In the clip, Camilo also comes out as a gay man who is serving the National Guard.
"So, um... I guess with this video, I'm coming out to the military," Camilo says in the clip, then kisses Emerson.
