Move over, Tony Bennett.

On Saturday night September 23, on the tiny stage of newly inaugurated East Village hot spot Club Cumming, legendary columnist Michael Musto will go from dishing dirt to belting tunes in "Musto Duets," an evening of standards sung with a who's who of who knew?

According to notes from promoter Daniel Nardicio, Musto "will be joyfully singing duets with the following confirmed artists: Tommy Femia, Alexis Michelle, Molly Pope, Brini Maxwell, Vivian Reed, Aaron Weinstein, Dina Martina, Rain Pryor, Rob Roth, Kenyon Phillips, with more to be added.

Songs to be sung include thus far: "Dont Rain on My Parade," "Maybe This Time," "I Got You Babe," and "Anything You Can Do."

Plus "I Am What I Am" with Mickey Boardman, Tym Moss, and Frankie C.

Michael Musto is the long-running writer known from the Village Voice (where he wrote the popular "La Dolce Musto" column for 29 years), Out.com, Paper, and the New York Times "Styles" section. He is a pop culture commentator on CNN and is a recurring panelist on Logo's "Cocktails & Classics" movie show. The winner of seven Glam awards for Best Nightlife Writer, Musto has written four books--the non-fiction guide "Downtown," the roman-a-clef "Manhattan on the Rocks," and the collections "La Dolce Musto," and "Fork on the Left, Knife in the Back." He rides a bike even through blizzards, and is proud to say it's a girl's bike from K-Mart.

Tickets are $50 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting SAGE. The curtain rises at 10:00 p.m.. Club Cumming is located at 505 East 6th Street. For more information on Club Cumming events, visit www.clubcumming.com
