"This Is The End" is a strange movie: The story concerns a group of comedians, playing themselves, trying to survive the apocalypse. The strangest part of all is how well the movie works. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg reunite to write and direct this bizarre take on Hollywood and the end of the world.

The film is based on a short, "Jay & Seth vs The Apocalypse," which is included in the Blu-ray/DVD set. There are also deleted scenes and a gag reel. Given the improvised nature, the deleted scenes aren’t that exciting. However, "Line-O-Rama" is a fun feature that includes raw footage of scenes as the actors ad-lib lines.

There are quite a few ’making-of’ featurettes. "Meta-Apocalypse" has interviews with the cast about developing character versions of themselves for the film. "Directing Your Friends" focuses on Rogen’s experience acting and directing a film with a cast comprised of his pals and navigating those scenes. "Party Time" and "The Cannibal King" focus on the high profile cameos in the film -- the most notable cameo being a certain heartthrob in a shocking and graphically sexual cameo. "Let’s Get Technical" is the least interesting feature and focuses on special effects.

Also included in the set is "This is the Marketing," which includes scenes the main cast filmed for trailers and TV spots. "The Making of "The Making of Pineapple Express 2" includes crew interviews and behind-the-scenes segments as the actors film a mock sequel to the popular stoner movie.

"This Is The End" is a disgustingly entertaining and offensive film. It pulls no punches and shocks the laughs out of you. The biggest shock will be how entertained you are.
