A leading player on the German soccer team has issued a call for his gay peers to come out and play openly.

Soccer has long been the poor relation to football in the United States; but in the past few years, its reputation is rising, which has led to the creation of ten gay teams in the United States. One such club is Atlanta’s Hotlanta Soccer Association (HSA), which EDGE’s Jack Mauro visited recently to talk soccer (or football as it is referred to around the world) with the group’s president Joe Organ.
