A YouTube clip showing a group of Muslim youth in East London harassing a a man because they believe he’s gay has made international headlines & sparked outrage in Britain.

It was recently reported that an adult actor who has starred in gay porn was featured in the highly controversial anti-Muslim movie, "Innocence of Muslims," which caused anti-U.S. protests in the Middle East this week.

Ifti Nasim - the gay Pakistani Muslim poet, activist and Chicago radio show host - strode in wearing leather pants, a leather overcoat and pimp hat with feather.

While corporations have long catered to Muslim communities in Europe, businesses have only tentatively started to follow suit in the U.S. - and they are doing so at a time of intensified anti-Muslim feeling that companies worry could hurt them, too.

It’s one of the most contentious issues facing LGBT Americans: Should we be coming to the defense of Islam and Muslims in the face of outright prejudice & hatred? Or is it self-hating to defend a religion that hates and oppresses us?

Oum Al Khyr says she’ll hole up at home and pray. Other women, preferring to flirt with arrest, may defy a ban on the burqa-style veil if a bill to outlaw the Islamic garment becomes the law of the land in France.
