Seattle Priests Refuse to Circulate Marriage Referendum Petitions

More than half a dozen Roman Catholic priests within the Archdiocese of Seattle have refused to circulate petitions inside their parishes in support of a proposed ballot measure that would overturn Washington’s marriage equality law.

New Report Invigorates Pro-LGBT Catholics

A new report from the Public Religion Research Institute found 71 percent of Catholics were in favor of gay and lesbian couples legally entering into civil marriages "like you get at city hall." This and other figures reinvigorated pro-LGBT Catholics who continue to seek a more gay-friendly church.
