There’s no escaping the irrepressible force that is Bianca Del Rio. Right now the undisputed "Drag Queen of Comedy" is riding high on the hog as a formidable contestant on the most exciting (ever) cycle of "RuPaul’s Drag Race." Season 6’s cast of the hit reality competition on Logo TV has reignited interest in the series, which has largely now moved into the often less attractive "mainstream market" - a demographic not often appealing to the more sophisticated tastemaker. But with no signs of slowing down, the race is steadily moving forward and propelling Bianca Del Rio, who is currently on a national comedy tour, into serious consideration is among the leading contenders for the crown.

This weekend she’ll be crowning some queens of her own with her comedy act (that is) when she appears live at the Parliament House in Orlando - just one of her stops on the way to the finish line on Season 6 of "Drag Race."

"I’m old school," Bianca says, "and I’m grateful for the opportunity to travel. People ask if I get tired, and I’m like Bitch...I’m grateful!" The consummate performer, Del Rio who has a standing Friday night residency in New York City with her "Hot Mess" drag revue at BPM Nightclub, relishes in the chance to spread the love to a new audience. "It’s fun! I get to go to interesting places and meet a lot of the people who watch the show."

Bianca of course came onto the sixth season of the hit reality competition show "RuPaul’s Drag Race" with a largely tested and well-earned fan base, which has now expanded its reach. "That’s the amazing thing about the show," she recognizes, "so many people," referring to its fans, "are invested in the it. I’m flattered that people are enjoying it." And as for a winning strategy to keep her in the competition and especially outwit her rivals... "People go into "Drag Race" thinking that they have an idea of what they need to be, without being themselves - which is kind of a cliche when you’re in a wig and make-up - but the main thing is applying yourself to the challenge. Never let a bitch see you sweat."

Taking full advantage of her expanding profile and especially the platform that comes along with the national visibility that is part and parcel of appearing on a nationally syndicated hit show, Del Rio is partnering up with some of the most legendary names in drag entertainment to continue to inspire and entertain. Along with performing weekly with Lady Bunny in the "Hot Mess" cabaret, Bianca has also teamed up with the incomparable Sherry Vine and is appearing in the video with Sherry of the same name. "Sherry is just on it," Del Rio said. "She really just makes things happen - and let’s face it...we all know a ’Hot Mess’!"

As for what her fans in Orlando’s Parliament House this Saturday night, April 12, can expect this weekend...let’s just you’ve been warned! "Of course I’ll be doing my stand-up and some audience participation stuff - it’s what I like to do, but I’m finding on [social networking] that people just ask me to Please read them." Not one to disappoint her audience, Bianca Del Rio suggests you’d better bring those glasses - because the library will be open and reading is FunDaMental! "All right girl! Just know what you’re asking for!"

Catch Bianca Del Rio live and on the road with her comedy, and every Monday night on "RuPaul’s Drag Race" as she inches closer to the finish line - closer to the crown! Follow her across the country and keep in touch by visiting her website at www.thebiancadelrio.com.
