DJ Tracy Young is feeling generous. The superstar DJ that has become synonymous with the South Beach, New Year’s Day event "Genesis" is spreading the joy and bringing the party back to New York City to celebrate the PRIDE season. Young introduced the scene to "Genesis" a decade ago, and unexpectedly - including to the the lady of the night herself - the party has grown and become one of the most anticipated must-attend music festivals of the year!

Now Young’s empire continues to rise - she recently relaunched her record label "Ferosh" - and continues to evolve musically - Young is one of the only handful of remix producers taking on the "it" song of the season: Cher’s "Woman’s World" - she is adding her own vibe to the growing number of PRIDE events coloring the nation’s circuit scene.

"I wanted to bring ’Genesis’ back to New York," Young admitted. This will be "Genesis’" eleventh year when it hits South Beach for New Year’s, and in a PRIDE season that is permeated with all kinds of events courting the circuit-revelers dollar, Young felt the timing was perfect to bring it back to NYC for PRIDE. "I had a vision," she said, "and wanted to bring it back to my community. I’m very possessive of my New York."

Young jokingly chided, but it hadn’t gone unnoticed to the premiere DJ that many of the New York City PRIDE season events are being branded by popular European promoters or their associated franchises, including Matinée and PAPA Party. "I’ve always wanted to do two ’Genesis’ parties during the year," said Young. "Pride falls in the middle of year, so it made sense...and it’s deeply personal." Each event is rooted in the cities - New York and South Beach - that DJ Tracy Young continues to call home.

Tell The Truth...

With more than two decades shaping the world of popular dance music, Young is an industry leader and pioneers. One of the few ladies in the club scene that is able to headline a club night, and she continues to do so with appearances all across the country. "I created my own events," Young added, "to help launch my DJ career. There were no other women doing that back then." All the while producing original remixes for some of music’s most powerful leading ladies including Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Britney Spears, Deborah Cox, and now the legendary Cher, proving with all certainty that when it comes to dance anthems - as far as DJ Tracy Young is concerned...it is a woman’s world.

Show your PRIDE and let freedom ring when the ferocious DJ Tracy Young re-energizes the scene and reintroduces "Genesis" to New York City for Gay Pride at Irving Plaza, 17 Irving Place. The "Genesis" begins on Friday, June 28. Tickets are available through LiveNation.com and are priced in advances at $50.
